Canada's #1 site for buying and selling gift cards!
If you're anything like me, you occassionally pull open your drawer (or wallet) and find that gift card you received months ago but still haven't used! There are just some stores that I either don't tend to visit or just never seem to find an item or price I like. With CardSwap.ca, you now have the option to sell that unused gift card for up to 92% of the value! They even buy partially used gift cards too. Put that cash towards something you really want!
Even if you don't have gift cards wasting away, you can buy gift cards from CardSwap.ca and earn up to 25% instant cash back. What a great way to save some money on gifts or purchases you know you're going to be making! And shipping is always free! You can save even more when you pay full price and earn SwapPoints instead, which you can redeem for free gift cards. (1000 SwapPoints = $10 free gift card)
Another wonderful service offered by CardSwap.ca is the option to donate your unwanted gift card. From their web site: "CardSwap has partnered with Canadian non-profit organizations including the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, Ontario Region and Covenant House Greater Toronto to allow consumers to donate gift cards and receive an official tax receipt for their donation." I love this feature!
I had the opportunity to try out the CardSwap.ca service to buy a gift card and, let me tell you, with so many great choices it took me ages to decide what to get! Dining, electonics stores, clothing, movie theatres, and so much more. The "Buy" section of the site lets you narrow your choices by category and availability. There's also a search feature if you know exactly which store you're looking for. I would've also liked to see an option to filter available cards by price range.
I loved the Wishlist feature. If you see a gift card that's sold out or In Transit, you can add that merchant to your Wishlist and you'll be emailed when they become available! In your Wishlist, you can star up to 5 "priority" merchants and get notified sooner when their gift cards are about to be listed.
After much deliberation, I finally decided to treat myself to a nice dinner out with my husband and selected a Bon Appetit eCode. I was curious to see how the eCode option would work. My purchase confirmation said the eCode would be emailed to me within two business days. I ordered late in the evening on a Thursday night and by Friday afternoon I had received the eCode email! All I had to do was print the email which contained a gift card number and scan code, and date night was set! Oh yah, and find a babysitter. :o)
I will definitely be visiting CardSwap.ca again soon! Check it out for yourself and get cash back for those unused gift cards or save on buying gifts and your own planned purchases.
